Aramie Payton
Aramie Payton is a professional entertainer from Chicago, IL. Based in New York City, Aramie made his debut as the Original Broadway Cast's MJ Standby at MJ the Musical on Broadway. The show garnered 10 Tony nominations in 2022 (the role of MJ is a Tony Award-winning role) and, having done 150+ performances, Aramie takes great pride in having contributed to the major success of the show. With a career spanning 20 years, he has performed in theatre, musical theatre, film, television, voice-over and dance. Known to be a true tour de force performer, Aramie has traveled the world sharing his craft with audiences and viewers of all types. When he is not on stage, Aramie is deeply involved in arts education and development for those seeking growth in their respective industries. He has toured with national and international productions of Dreamgirls, Flashdance and Cruel Intentions and in New York City Center's Bat out of Hell. Regionally, he has been featured in The Scottsboro Boys (Helen Hayes Award; Signature DC), Hairspray (Starlight) & Mamma Mia (Marriott). He has been recently seen on-screen as Griffin Voss in Triple Threat. TV credits include Wu Tang: An American Saga (HULU), Run The World (STARZ) and The Equalizer (CBS). Voice-over credits include Reese's Puffs Cereal, Gillete, Walmart, Comcast and more! Aramie has also partnered with Nickelodeon for the Youtube series "Nickelodeon's Dance Battle Playlist", which featured Aramie as a dancer and choreographer. Aramie looks forward to sharing his own ventures as Director and Producer in the years to come, alongside an ever-expanding performance career.
