Asad Aleem
Asad Aleem made his film debut in Gang Se Panga (2003) opposite Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Sonali Bendre and Aman Verma. The film was a failure but Asad continued to play supporting roles in movies throughout the year.
He also continued to leave his mark on television with roles on the newly formed Sega TV, where he became the top lead actor and part of the famous acting group "The Six" with Jack Popat, Harsh Khanna, Kipu Khan, Lokhan Tara and Aashir Yatra with association with heroines Amna Beig and Manisha Sail. The Six and its associates had their own movie Good Boys released in the fall of 2003 which was Asad's first lead role in movies and first hit movie at the box office.
Asad earned critical acclaim and started getting commercial success which allowed him to land a lead role in the low-budget film Nafrat: The Hatred (2004). The film turned Asad into a famous movie star in South Asia. His supporting role in the English-language action movie Fight for the Truth earned him critical acclaim and made him a worldwide star despite the film's failure. It was Asad's first English language movie. The movie starred Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson and Lucy Liu.
Asad's worldwide fame continued to earn him critical acclaim and increase his commercial success as a lead actor with projects including Rog (2004), Rog 2 (2004), Dostana: Friendship (2004), Dostana: Friendship Part 2 (2004), Mix Zone (2005), Mix Zone: Revolution (2005), Dostana: Friendship Part 3 (2006), Streets of Rage (2006), The Killing (2008) and Pyaar Ka Jaadu (2012).
