Cameron Reilly
After a prosperous career in the technology industry (including years at Microsoft), Cameron pioneered Australian podcasting in 2004 before co-founding the world's first podcast network in early 2005.
He is best known for producing insanely in-depth history podcasts about subjects are wide-ranging as the Roman Empire, Alexander The Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, the Cold War and the Renaissance. His series on these subjects usually run for one hundred hours and sometimes more. They also contain loads of pop culture and contemporary political and religious references mixed with plenty of humor. He thinks history lessons are better absorbed and understood if we laugh while we learn.
His podcasts have been downloaded millions of times by a passionate global audience who pay a monthly subscription to appreciate his irreverent and entertaining style of presenting history.
Cameron's interest in Christianity goes back to Sunday school when he was a young boy. Although he's been an atheist for most of his life, he has an historian's interest in the significant role Christianity has played in Western civilization.
He is the author of two books, The Three Illusions (2011) and The Psychopath Epidemic (2020), and is regularly invited to speak at industry events regarding podcasting and social media.
Cameron lives in Brisbane (Australia) with his wife Christine and three children.
