Courtney Burrell
Courtney T. Burrell Jr. was born on August 20, in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the oldest child of mother in the Pharmaceutical industry , Betty, from Philadelphia, and an Iron worker father, Courtney Sr., also from Philadelphia. After being exposed to music, sports, and entertainment overall as an adolescent, Courtney took on a journey of becoming a model and actor in 2006. At that time, Courtney was enrolled at Delaware State University intent on a career in Information Technology. He then left college in 2010, shy of one class to graduate just to follow his dreams in full force. His first paid acting gig was on a Nissan maxi-ma commercial in Connecticut of 2010. He played the part of a Quarterback in comparison to the new Nissan Maxima vehicle. This was the role that gave Courtney just a little taste of the industry and now he wanted even more. In 2011, he moved to Atlanta, Ga., to jump start his career in a new market. He began getting background work on shows like BET's The Game and then featured on BET's Let's Stay Together. In 2012, he received supporting roles in two independent movies, Blackhats and Truth seekers, the Music of Souls. In 2013, he packed up everything and drove his car to Los Angeles, Ca., in high hopes of making his dream a reality. He then booked a lead role on the hit series Black Boots as Grant Boyer, a Brooks University freshman fascinated with joining a certain fraternity on his campus. In 2015, Courtney landed a lead role in a series created by Black and Sexy TV called "Sexless" which is becoming a big hit across the map. Meanwhile during the Season, Burrell received a spin-off from the Sexless series called "Chef Julian" which immediately became fan favorite. In the fall of 2015, Sexless and Chef Julian were licensed by BET Networks. In 2016, Courtney landed an recurring role as Nelson in season 2 of Tyler Perry's "Too Close To Home".
Recently , Courtney has booked a huge role in a McDonald's national commercial as Turtleneck Tommy (2014) , Coors Light Commercial (2014), Arsenio Hall (2014) , Nike Sb Commercial (2014) , BET's Got Game (2015) , Secret Deodorant Commercial "proposal" (2016), Sprite Commercial (2016)
