Craig Elrod

Craig Elrod is a writer and director based in Austin, Texas. He directed and co-wrote the feature films Mustang Island ( co-written with Nathan Smith; 2017 Dallas International Film Festival Special Jury Award; acquired by Netflix) and The Man from Orlando (co-written with Jason Newman). He has also written and directed several award-winning shorts, including Molly (2014 SXSW Film Festival) and Petting Sharks (2010 SXSW Jury Award winner). Along with his frequent collaborator and producing partner Michael Mobley, Elrod participated in 2018 Sundance Institute Creative Producing Labs & Summit for his feature Who's Sorry Now. Elrod newest short film, Fortyhands, is set for production in 2022.
