Cristina Flutur
Cristina Flutur was born in Iasi, Romania. She made her cinema debut performing Alina in the film Dupa dealuri (2012), directed by the Romanian director Cristian Mungiu. For this role she received the Award for Best Actress at the International Film Festival at Cannes, in 2012.
While studying at the Faculty of Letters, Romanian and English Language and Literature Department, at the "Al. I. Cuza" University in Iasi, Romania, she performed in a theatre company for students, "Ludic" theatre, for 3 years. After graduating, in 2000, she decided to go more seriously into acting and became a student in drama at the Faculty of Letters at the "Babes-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
After finishing her studies, in 2004, she started performing on the stage of the "Radu Stanca" National Theatre in Sibiu, Romania, where she performed in classical and modern theatre plays, working with well known and appreciated directors, both From Romania and from abroad. She worked in Sibiu till the summer of 2013, when she moved to Bucharest as a free-lancer.
While working in "Radu Stanca" National Theatre she was on many tours, performing in Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Russia, Macedonia, Turkey, Slovenia, Italy, Colombia, Italy.
