Emily Mest
Emily Helen Mest was raised by her parents Carol and Charlie and has one older brother named Elliott. Emily is of Italian and Irish descent. She is best known for her portrayal of Nurse Amelia Emerson in the hit Ryan Murphy Netflix series Ratched (2020) alongside Sarah Paulson. Emily also appears in the eighth season of Ryan Murphy's FX series American Horror Story: Apocalypse (2018) as Casey.
Emily attended The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts as a theatre major. Right after high school she went on to tour the country with the Broadway musical "Spring Awakening" in the role of Thea. After the tour, she moved to Los Angeles to work in television and film projects. Emily has extensive musical theatre, voice, dance, improvisation and stage training through various training programs including studying at NYU's Cap 21 intensive and Upright Citizens Brigade.
Emily is an accomplished singer and songwriter and has released solo music starting with her song "Atmosphere" and her most recent release "Laurel Canyon". She's also featured on electronic-pop duo Phantoms most recent album with the song "Tried To Be Nice".
Emily lives in Los Angeles, California.
