Emma-Louise Wilson
Emma-Louise Wilson was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1981 and grew up in the northern suburbs (so far north she actually attended a regional high school). She is best known for her role in multi-award winning Australian comedy, "Utopia" as the dim-witted, but lovable Katie.
Emma-Louise began her pursuit of acting not long after finishing high school and completed a Foundation Year at the Victorian College of the Arts. Later she completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree with Honours at Monash University. She began performing stand-up comedy in her Honours year in order to undertake a performance and written thesis about it. She remained a regular on the Melbourne comedy circuit for a few years before the travel bug hit. During her 11 months based in London she joined the Actors Centre and attended a number of their workshops. Her training continues now, back in Melbourne, with PEM Studios.
Whilst Emma-Louise has a penchant for comedy, her love of action and horror drew her towards stunts. She began training in karate and stunts at the age of 29 and worked her way towards being a graded Stunt Action Person in Australia. She has a first degree black belt in Shukokai Karate.
Emma-Louise resides in Melbourne with her husband and daughter and continues to work in acting and stunts and is currently obsessed with crochet and knitting.
