Emmanuel Saez
Emmanuel SAEZ is a producer, director and film editor. He has been passionate about the cinema since his earliest childhood memory and when he was 10, his father gave him his first 8 mm camera. While working to raise his family and with no budget, he made several short films, such as tourist films and industrial films to name a few. Self-taught, he continued his way and won numerous prizes in festivals, In 2013 he made a science fiction movie called, « Sur l'Echelle de Hynek » selected in different international festivals. He realized at this time that he could not give up filmmaking, even if he was encountering difficulties in his endeavors. In 2014, he produced and made « Overcast » a short cut that won an audience prize in New York. The movie was 9 times selected and ended up in the Top 10 of the International competition Viewster 2014, comprised of 230 films and 47 countries which were competing. In 2016, he created both the AFCI (association Française du cinéma indépendant) and the International Festival of the independent cinema SMR13 in Saint Mitre les Remparts. In 2017, this festival became the meeting of talented directors from independent cinema from all over the world, comprising a creative platform, meetings, dissemination and sharing of information with more than 200 films presented. In 2017, he produced and directed his first feature film entitled Dark Patch and signed a contract with Tricoast WorldWide Los Angeles for international distribution.
