Gabriel Cowan
Cowan is a Sundance and IFP fellow as well as a multi award winning filmmaker who has produced over 20 feature films. Over a dozen of Cowan's films have premiered at major festivals including Cheap Thrills which won the audience award at South By Southwest and They Call Us Monsters which won the 2017 Independent Lens Award. Cowan's films have been called "nothing short of iconic" by the Los Angeles Times and "Powerful and Eye Opening" by the Hollywood Reporter. Cowan has worked with Marisa Tomei, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, Frank Grillo, John Liguizamo, Dane Cook, Courteney Cox, Seann William Scott, Kate Walsh, and many others. He has sold films to every major distributor.
Cowan is the President of New Artists Alliance, a production company that provides support for first time filmmakers and is dedicated to creating opportunities for women and minorities. He serves on the board of InsideOut Writers, which provides counseling and writing classes for kids inside juvenile hall and he is on the advisory board of Common Sense Media which advocates for underprivileged kids around the country.
Cowan is also a multi platinum recording artists who has toured the world playing his music.
