Gabriela Vidal
Writer, screenwriter and script teacher who develops her activity between Mexico City and Córdoba, Argentina. In 2011, she obtained a grant from the National System of Creators, in which she developed the scripts Doctor Peralta and El Deseo de Ana, winner of the 2016 GIFF National Script Competition. In recent years she has published a novel, Melancólicos (Ed. Del Boulevard, 2012), a book of stories, Paseo con fantasma (Ed. Del Boulevard, 2014) and Los Niños de las Motitos (Ed. Librosampleados, 2014). In addition to having participated in an anthology of texts on Cortázar with 48 authors from Latin America. In Mexico, she is the Coordinator of the Screenwriters Residence of Sonora and the North, an annual event that brings together writers from the north of Mexico and the south of the United States and that travels through cities in the northern states. He has taught courses at the San Agustín Etla Center for the Arts, Oaxaca, at CECUT (Tijuana), in Salamanca and Celaya (Guanajuato). Graduated from the CCC Script Course, 2005, and from the Communication career at the National University of Córdoba, 1994.
She has written several award-winning film scripts, among which the following stand out: "Familia Tortuga" (Ficco Prize, 2006), "I don't want to sleep alone" (Best Screenplay Nomination for Ariel, 2011), "Life afterwards" (Venice Festival Selection , 2013) and "The pleasure is mine" (Morelia Festival Award, 2014). In Mexico, he has formed groups of writers for different series, among which the following stand out: "Crónica de castas", produced for channel 11, "Sex and other secrets", Televisa, and "Divididos". She is an advisor to different projects both in Argentina and Mexico.
