Gamya Wijayadasa

Gamya Wijayadasa is a Sri Lankan born actor raised in Australia. She is a former Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World who transitioned in to acting in 2010. Gamya is a trained dancer and actor. She trained as a dancer since the age of 4 and her acting training is from Creating Characters Institute in Mumbai. She also works professionally as a model, compere, performer and talk show host. She has partnered with and endorsed many brands such as Veet, Ponds, Tresemme, Nescafé, Dilmah Tea, Body Shop and dozens more. Gamya's acting journey starts in Bollywood where she worked for several years and moved on to working in TV commercials and television series in Australia and finally made her debut in Sri Lanka on television as well as cinema. She's currently working on multiple television projects as well as films and considers her a global citizen open to opportunities world over.
