Guy Camilleri
Guy Camilleri is a Los Angeles based actor, screenwriter, director and an acting coach. He has performed in countless films, TV shows, and major ad campaigns, with credits ranging from the indie hit Electrick Children to such network series as House. He has appeared on stage in New York, Los Angeles, and regionally, earning plaudits for his lead role in the L.A. premiere of Ira Lewis' classic Chinese Coffee, among others. Also, Guy produced the critically acclaimed production of Jean Cocteau's The Human Voice at the Elephant Theatre. The play starred Ho-Jung in a dominant, protean performance directed by award-winning director, Dan Bonnell. Guy has directed several short films and has completed two feature length screenplays, one of which is in pre-production.
As the founder/master teacher of RAW acting studio, Guy has taught acting, both in classes and as a one-on-one coach, for more than 15 years. He has worked intensively with performers of every level, from those just starting out to Oscar-, Emmy-, and Golden Globe-nominees. His students regularly appear in major films, television shows, and stage productions in the U.S. and throughout the world.
Guy studied for seven years at the The Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City, working directly with the legendary Frankel, who himself worked alongside such theater giants as Lee Strasberg and Sanford Meisner. Guy embraces Gene's motto: "The best of theatre is not just real. It is a flight into reality. It is the real taken and stretched to an artistic pinnacle."
He is a proud member of the Writers Boot Camp and the MSA (Malibu Surfing Association). When his schedule permits, Guy is competing in surf contests up and down the coast of California and supports keeping the ocean healthy.
