Happy the Dog
Happy The Dog is a two year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who was found abandoned in the streets of South Los Angeles in 2015. Emaciated and deemed to be approximately nine months old, Happy The Dog was adopted by Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries President & CEO Bill Abbott. Four months earlier, Bill Abbott had also adopted a big orange male tabby from a rural shelter in Ohio. The cat which had been in the shelter for two years is a loving, affectionate fur friend whose name is Happy The Cat. Happy The Dog and Happy The Cat live together in Los Angeles and have become the best of friends. They frequently star on programs for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, particularly Hallmark Channel's successful KITTEN BOWL and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries holiday favorite Happy Yule Log, which is shot every year and played on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Just a couple of fur kids lounging around the family room fireplace listening to Christmas music and watching Hallmark holiday original movies on TV. Happy The Dog makes his Hallmark Original Movie debut in "Love At The Shore," premiering August 2017.
