Inga Eiss
Inga Eiss is an American film and television actress, singer and musician born and raised in South Africa. She is fluent in Afrikaans, a Dutch dialect. She has landed roles speaking English with a Dutch accent, her native South African accent, and the standard American accent she acquired after immigrating to the United States in her early teens.
Young Inga's first love was ballet for which she received numerous distinctions from the Royal Academy of Dance. She also liked to draw and play chess as a child and was a voracious reader. She left South Africa during a time of economic and political unrest with her father, Johan, mother, Gretel, and sisters, Melissa and Christine. Eiss started acting in 11th grade when she was accepted to Ocala's performing arts magnet school, West Port High. She moved to Orlando shortly after graduating to further her training at the University of Central Florida where she was one of six women accepted to the Bachelor of Fine Arts acting program her cohort year. Eiss was cast in several theatrical productions before narrowing her focus to camera acting.
Upon completion of her conservatory training, Eiss relocated to Atlanta, GA where she made her network debut on MacGyver, playing an Amsterdam based tech on the CBS remake. Shortly thereafter, Eiss was cast in a supporting lead role opposite Toni Garn in Oscar Pistorius: Blade Runner Killer. Portraying real-life Anti Katz, Eiss spoke in her native accent for the Lifetime original set in her home country. She was next seen in DC Comic's Doom Patrol followed by a brief appearance in Walt Disney's live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp, which launched the Disney+ streaming service. Eiss appeared alongside Jennifer Hudson in the MGM Aretha Franklin biographical musical drama, Respect, next. The film was released theatrically on August 8, 2021.
Outside of acting Eiss enjoys baking, cooking and gardening. She also loves to travel and is known for taking spontaneous road trips with her fiancé, Joe Borelli. She continues to dance, plays regular tennis and practices yoga.
Eiss has received numerous awards including Best Acting/Female Winner for the 48 Hour Film Project Orlando and is a four-time winner of Ocala Civic Theatre's Bright Young Artist college scholarship. Born a middle child on October 5th, 1990, she considers her sisters two of her closest friends.
