Katherine Gauthier
Katherine Gauthier is an actor and writer working in theatre and film. Katherine has worked on some of the country's most venerated stages such as the Shaw Festival, the Grand Theatre, Arts Club Theatre, Théâtre La Seizième and over a dozen productions at Soulpepper Theatre. A graduate of the critically acclaimed Soulpepper Theatre Academy in Toronto, Katherine has played leading roles in shows such as "Marat-Sade", "Macbeth", "The Just", "You Still Can't Take it With You", "Tough", "Matt and Ben", "Children's Hour", "King Lear", "Godspell", "100 Saints You Should Know", including a critically lauded turn as Nora in "Globe and Mail's Top 10 productions" of Ibsen's A Doll's House.
For her work as an actor, Katherine has received three Dora Award nominations (including Outstanding Performance), one My Entertainment World Award nomination (Outstanding performance Female), a CAC award nomination (Outstanding performance lead) and two Jessie Award nominations (including Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role). As a writer, Katherine graduated from the Write From The Hip program at Nightwood Theatre and is Theatrefront's Playwright-In-Residence .
