Kathleen Seconder
A taste for adventure and creative passion are the energies that have fueled Kathleen's artistic life. Born in upstate New York, her early years were enriched by frequent trips to NYC Broadway theater, as well as local theater and film festivals. In grammar school, she indulged her interests in her first stage production, cast as the 'Witch' in Hansel and Gretel (hey, no typecasting there)! Her performance resulted in a standing ovation as she was thrust into a flaming oven by Hansel and Gretel. Despite her fiery demise, she was hooked on the adrenaline of the stage.
Her lifelong love led to more roles in high school productions, and later scholarship to attend the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC. As a triple threat performer, she has performed on stages from NYC to London to Copenhagen, Denmark. Professional film and TV roles soon followed.
Her family instilled a love of travel and she has been able to combine an artistic lifestyle living in a variety of fascinating U.S. and European destination cities (NYC, San Francisco, Boston, Zurich, Copenhagen, and London to name a few). It is that same depth of curiosity and sense of exploration that she brings to her work.
She continues to work as a professional Writer and Editor, and also teaches English as a Second Language to foreigners. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, dancing, decorating, trying new restaurants, and going to the cinema and theater, of course. An accomplished singer, she performs with several vocal ensembles.
Kathleen continues to improve on her craft with ongoing training and revels in the challenges of this fascinating industry.
