Kerry O'Quinn
Born: Austin, Texas, attended University of Texas, produced commercials for Grey Advertising, New York City, Art Director at Ideal Publishing and Sterling Publishing, NYC. Directed "Voyage to Darkness" (1972 solar eclipse documentary). Wrote and directed "Justice Inc." (1968 producer: Dan Fauci) and "Starlog's Birthday Fantasy" (1980). In charge of Cunard Adventurer Eclipse Cruise (1973 with Sir Arthur C. Clarke, scientists and astronauts). Launched New York magazine publishing company (1972) with partner Norman Jacobs. Created Starlog, Fangoria, Cinemagic, Future Life, Comics Scene and more than a dozen other newsstand titles. Company became world's largest producer of movie/TV licensed publications. Branched into production of original science fiction and horror videos, movie soundtracks, books and live events. Produced Star Trek 20th Anniversary (1986 with Gene Roddenberry), Star Wars 10th Anniversary (1987 with George Lucas) and Starlog 20th Anniversary (with everyone in science fiction). Now living in Hollywood, writing and producing.
