About Kevin D'Arcy
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kevin is the youngest of 4 children, and the first American born in his family, who immigrated to the U.S. from Georgetown, Guyana in South America.
A trained actor and screenwriter, Kevin D'Arcy graduated Magna Cum Laude, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater from Temple University School of Communications and Theater. He later completed his graduate studies from the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
Kevin has appeared in numerous stage productions before moving to Los Angeles, such as: Dutchman (by LeRoi Jones), Shakespeare's Othello, and a touring company production of Megan Terry's Viet Rock that culminated in his New York theatrical debut at the Michael Chekhov Theatre. He also worked on the writing team that created the award winning independent feature film "Catfish in Black Bean Sauce".
A coach since 2004, he has built a list of regular clients who he works with on auditioning. When actors get an audition, they are like deer caught in headlights. They need an objective eye to guide and inspire the best performance out of them.
Kevin spent six years working with the theater group Actors Leading Actors before he moved on to explore new avenues of growth. He continued to work on his craft with Actors' Consortium, where as a recent graduate member, he serves as Artistic Director. A resident of Los Angeles, He balances acting professionally with his work as an acting coach.
An avid runner, Kevin has completed the Honolulu marathon, two LA marathons, and can be seen on the occasional Saturday morning running laps around Griffith Park.
