Kevin Ignatius
Kevin Ignatius was born and raised in Warren, Pennsylvania and moved to New York City after graduating from The University of Pittsburgh with a major in Rhetoric and Communications and a minor in Jazz Drumming. Half-Korean, Kevin's mother was born and raised in Gangneung and spent her formative years there before moving to the U.S. Kevin has immediate family that still resides in both Seoul and Gangneung.
In 2011 he co-wrote, acted and produced the short film The Adoption Agency for FunnyorDie.com starring Rex Lee (Entourage, Suburgatory). In addition to garnering much attention on the website, the film opened the 2011 LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival. It went on to win the 2011 Christopher Wetzel Award for Independent Film Comedy and was an official selection of the 2011 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in both Chicago and Montreal respectively. In 2015, Kevin wrote and directed the short film Hook Man that has won awards at Houston International Film Festival, First Glance Film Festival and IndieFest.
In addition, Kevin is a composer and founding member of the electronic duo Das Tapes (along with younger brother Mark Ignatius) whose music is in the feature film Two Night Stand starring Kid Cudi and Miles Teller as well as the upcoming film Hot Bot starring Danny Masterson and Anthony Anderson.
