Kevin Sloan
In 1986 Kevin Sloan started producing and directing short films in high school with a borrowed video camera. During that time Sloan was also part of the drama department in high school and took on acting roles as well. After high school Sloan was brought on with the Special Effects department on two features (Ned Blessing and Knight Rider 2000) as an Intern.
From 1993 to 2005 Sloan worked as a PA, grip, camera operator, special effects, editor, producer, director, visual effects and Steadicam operator on numerous commercials, shorts, and feature films. Sloan has written, produced and edited numerous commercials for News 9 San Antonio and KENS TV. One of his productions, a commercial for Make-A-Wish Foundation went on to win an award at the Houston Film Festival in 2004.
In 2009 Sloan worked at Rackspace where he developed and built their video department and produced numerous in house videos for internal and external uses. In 2011, after leaving Rackspace he was brought on as a freelance video editor and VFX artist for Spurs Sports and Entertainment for the Spurs and Rampage home games. He freelanced for the rest of the year as an editor and VFX artist for numerous San Antonio based companies.
2012 was when Sloan purchased the Steadicam he had been renting and became a full time camera/Steadicam operator. After working on numerous commercials, shorts, and features, Sloan is now making the transition into producing. Sloan produced the family dog movie The Adventures of pepper and Paula and the short, I Love You More, with additional shorts and feature films in the works.
