Khalid Alzouma
At the age of 8, Khalid began learning how to channel his creative energy into local theater productions with The Finest! in Rockville, MD. He soon expanded his horizons - traveling to various cities for theater and eventually working his way into film and television.
Khalid has performed in the DC Black Theater Festival, as well as on stages in Auburn and Tampa with A Change Gon' Come; an original work by Kashi Tara about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, and at the Union County Performing Arts Center with Stop the Funeral. With a penchant for humor, Khalid also once played both Homer and Arable in Charlotte's Web - talking to "himself" and switching characters with the switch of a hat.
Khalid can be seen in a NBC Universal Campaign for the Amazing Spider Man 2 (2014) movie and a series of commercials for Al Packer Ford, playing opposite Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco. In Beneath the Surface, premiered at the Court Metrage (Festival De Cannes 2014), Khalid and Danny Boushebel play a middle-eastern father-son duo who get bullied in a subway station.
In 2016 Khalid was nominated for a Young Artist Award for his role on the NBC mini-series The Slap.
When not on stage or filming, Khalid is usually working on his music. Although piano and drums are his favorites, Khalid has never met an instrument he doesn't love.
