Kim Shannon
Kim Shannon was born and raised on Long Island, New York. A shy child, Kim discovered theater when she was in her early teens and found a way to express herself. Her first role was as a pickpocket in a high school production of Oliver! It was during this experience that Kim decided she wanted to be an actress. She quickly landed parts in plays and musicals and was on the Board of Directors of her high school theater company.
During her sophomore year, Kim auditioned for an intense summer acting program with NYSSA (New York State Summer School of the Arts). She beat out hundreds for a spot in the program and received training from some of the best teachers in NY. After school she started taking acting lessons with a coach from New York City and upon graduating with honors received a theater scholarship. Kim continued her training in college where she studied theater and journalism and graduated magna cum laude.
After graduation Kim decided to make the move out to Los Angeles and pursue acting full time. Within a few months she landed a manager and a small role in the film Drive-In. Other co-star roles soon followed on The Division and Malcolm in the Middle. Kim continuously works in theater, film and tv. She has worked with the likes of Jane Kaczmarek, Bonnie Bedelia and Joanna Kerns and has studied with Salome Jens and currently with Craig Archibald.
Kim can be seen in the film "Midnight Sex Run" as Kate and as Sally in the horror film "Ghosthunters".
