Kjirstin Youngberg

Kjirstin acted in a few roles in her twenties, but photography was her true love. She's been a freelancing photojournalist for over 40 years, and is a published author. She has worked many years behind the scenes, honing her art and becoming skilled at costume design. Her daughter, Rachel Payne, is a singer and performer, and Kjirstin was content to design and sew for her productions. In 2009, her local film and photography group began filming shorts, and, in her words, "needed an old lady" so she stepped in "just because nobody else could pull it off; I didn't want some 20-something trying to fake wrinkles." She has since been unstoppable, working on many film sets, in many roles. Kjirstin now considers Utah her home, and is an avid fan of the many and varied locations and crew afforded to filmmakers there.
