L.C. Kent
Started volunteering for the Waterloo Community Playhouse in February of 2003, which, inevitably, led to pursuing a Degree in Theatre, after graduating a year early from High School with a Full Ride to the University of Northern Iowa.
While in High School, L.C. was promoted to Raider Commander as a LET 1 (Leadership Education Trainee). At the Annual JROTC Award Ceremony that year, he was chosen for the United States Association of the Army Medal. bestowed the Honor of Cadet of the Semester for Fall '02, and given the position of Staff XO - this was hinted by the Instructors as being the first step to becoming Battalion Commander.
Despite these accolades, he preferred to spend more time in the dark waiting to move set pieces than he did marching and practicing rifle drills. However, he still approached every show with the same high level of precision and discipline he learned while in-Uniform. At the end of his High School Career, his work with the WCP landed him a spot in the Mayor's Top Teen Volunteers for 2005.
He spent his first year of College as a Double Major in Theatre and Psychology, which later turned into a Major in Theatre and a Double Minor in Psychology and Philosophy - while he dabbled in all aspects of Theatre, it was Neurolinguistic Programming and Ethics that truly drew him to pursue his minors, and how they both related to the Art of Performance in Modern Times, whether live in-person, broadcast on television, or up on the Silver Screen.
Thanks to his many-year foray into the Community Theatre Scene, he was lucky enough to have someone in his network who was cast as a leading man, which helped him become Production Manager for said Feature Film and Art Director for the next in the series - even grew his role from one scene to three in the second movie, thanks to the years of performance experience from Summer Musicals and Acting Class. Eventually, he joined IATSE 191 and got involved in what little work there was to be had in the Waterloo, IA area, including building several stages for Iowa Irish Fest in 2021.
Now, L.C. seeks to add his years of experience, sense of integrity, work ethic, and initiative to an entertainment company looking for this exact combination in an actor.
