Nir Paniry
Nir Paniry is an Iraqi-American writer and director, known for Extracted (2012). Nir started out in the indie world, winning the IFP award for best narrative for his drama, KAMIKAZE DOLLS. After writing and directing a slew of shorts, in 2012 he released his first feature film, EXTRACTED, a low-fi sci-fi film that premiered at SXSW. Since then Nir has been writing specs and assignments across ALL genres. Most notably, his spec DRACULA and VAN HELSING sold to Sony with Joe Roth producing, and PRINCESSES, a fantasy tentpole he developed with Lawrence Grey, sold to Sony, Amy Pascal and Simon Cowell.
