Owen Meyer
Owen Meyer is an actor, a model, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist. He was born and raised in South Africa to a working class family with his father, Patrick Errol Meyer and mother ,Nicolette Teressa Maritz. While he was a student, still in high school, he was discovered by a director who was shooting a commercial with the South African national football team. From there Owen went on to land a starring role on Endemol Productions' Isidingo, the most watched daytime drama in Africa, earning him a global reputation and netting him several more films, TV rolls and commercials internationally.Owen has been recognized within the industry as an up and coming talent, earning the Teen Choice Awards Best Actor from Crepitation's, Best Newcomer and Best Actor nominations from People Magazines' Peoples Choice Awards, and Sexiest Man of the year from Cosmopolitan. After traipsing the globe on mega yachts as a MCA qualified 500t captain, Owen spent some time in Miami, where he landed a supporting role on the final season of Burn Notice. He has since relocated to Los Angeles, where he is working on a major feature, which was recently covered in Wrap Magazine and as the cover story for Headgame.A leader in his field, Owen is never satisfied, always shooting for greater heights within the industry and always seeking out the best opportunities available. He is also very proud of his involvement with the Nelson Mandela Charity Fund, Love Life, which provides support for AIDS research, and for his work with the Save the Rhino project.
