Preston Fritz Smith is a New York-based actor whose TV credits include Succession (Season 2, HBO), Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo), Devious Maids (Lifetime), The Perfect Murder (Investigation Discovery-three seasons as lead detective), Horror at the Cecil Hotel (Discovery Mini-series 2017/2018), Deadly Devotion (Investigation Discovery), Mysteries at the Museum (Travel), Dead Again (A&E), A Crime to Remember (Investigation Discovery-two seasons), Greatest Mysteries (Travel), Today Show and Nightly News (NBC), Good Morning America (ABC), Inside Edition (CBS), and Sounds for the Holidays (Fox). Sumter, SC), lived for a time in Columbia, SC (where he studied medicine briefly at USC), Charleston, SC (where he worked as full-time musician), Princeton, NJ, (music conservatory), and Tampa, FL (where he taught at University of Tampa), before relocating October 2003 to New York City to pursue professional music performance and acting. A graduate of Furman University (Greenville, SC), University of South Carolina, and Westminster Choir College (Princeton). Acting training: The Barrow Theater Group, NYC (Professional Acting Conservatory One-year Program; Shakespeare; ongoing masterclasses in scene study). Member, The Actor's Project NYC (Monologue method and sketch comedy). Further studies in tv/film, improv, voice-over, sketch, stand-up, etc., at TVI Actor's Studio, Times Square, and Broadway Comedy Club.
