Rodolfo Augusto Faistauer
Rodolfo Faistauer is known for his work on Artur Schnabel: No Place of Exile (2017). Born in Brazil in 1989, he is a pianist and researcher based in France. Rodolfo holds a Bachelor's degree in piano from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and a Master's degree in piano performance from the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg, where he studied with Amy Lin. His special interest for the works of Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms brought him to Munich, at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, in the class of Margarita Höhenrieder. Rodolfo is a great-grand-pupil of the pianist Artur Schnabel. This special connection to the famous Beethoven interpreter lead him to write a Master thesis on Schnabel's interpretation of Beethoven. Rodolfo has performed solo and chamber music in France, Germany, Austria and Brazil, and learned through lessons and master classes from pianists such as: Cristina Ortiz, Peter Frankl, Andrzej Jasinski and Jean-Philippe Collard.
