Roquel La Fayette
A native of Los Angeles, California. Roquel's professional acting career includes a seven year recurring role on the longest running soap "Days Of Our Lives" (NBC), as well as "The Bold And The Beautiful" (CBS), "Generations" (NBC) and "Port Charles" (ABC). Roquel has starred in "It's A Miracle" as the real life mother "Rita Wallace" and was also presented on "Oprah (ABC)".
Roquel also Starred in Fox's " Beyond Belief" opposite "Tony Plana" Roquel has Co-Starred with " Blair Underwood" on "High Incident", and "American Crime" opposite " Felicity Huffman." Other television credits include " Doubt", " Devious Maids", "Marlon" and "Being Mary Jane".
Roquel is no stranger to the big screen and has appeared in numerous films including "Harlem Nights" and "Another 48 Hours" with Eddie Murphy, "Action Jackson" with Carl Weathers , "Marked For Death" with Steven Seagal, and most recently " Holly Day".
Roquel La Fayette was also featured in leading theater roles in "My Brothers Blood" , "Julius Ceasar" , "Fences" , "I Need Thee" , and "A Raisin In The Sun". In addition she performed in productions of "Busline 210" , and "The Inquest of Sam Cooke" at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles.
Roquel's face has been seen on many print ads and billboards as well as television commercials. Roquel is a well spoken and articulate actress and is an eloquent host and moderator featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live" (ABC) , "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" (BRAVO) and "L A. Roquel has a love for music since a early age and grew up singing in the church gospel choir as well as playing the piano which has helped guide her to roles in musical theater.
