Sally George
Born in Hull-Sally George trained at The Guildhall school of Music and Drama- She spent several years with the Royal Shakespeare Company- graduating quickly from as cast to leading roles. Notably Lady Ann in Richard 111- Maggie in Havel's Temptation.- Bianca in Taming of the Shrew. She has worked at The Almeida Theatre and London's West end. She worked with Alan Ayckbourn in Scarbourgh. At the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Seasons in Rep theatre up and down the county Numerous tours of Uk - Japan Australia and Europe. She is a founder member of Northern Broadsides. Her television and film credits are numerous. Including Buddha of Suburbia, Measure for Measure, Persuasion, Casualty, Holby City, Eastenders and The Bill and Daziel and Pascoe. Positive and new play at Park theatre (OFFIE nomination). She received much acclaim including three best actress awards (IIFF, WIMFF, World Film Fest) for Love Somehow a one woman a film about the relationship between Dylan Thomas and his wife Caitlin Thomas playing Caitlin . Sally appeared in the hugely successful Oliver Award nominated play People Places and Things at the National Theatre and Wyndams. Recently she played Queen Elizibeth I in a new play at Hampton Court Palace. Soon to appear as Mari in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at Park Theatre London summer 2018.
