Suzan Mutesi
Suzan Mutesi (born Suzan Faith Mutesi Mufambiro, 21 June 1986) is an African Australian actress, model, and author. Suzan Mutes i's most recent works include appearance in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In 2021 she been working on a new future horror film, Lady Ifrita, 2021. She has also appeared in a drama, Ruby's Choice (2020), the films Moon Rock for Monday (2019) and Irreversible Choices (2015), and in the 2019 TV series Deadly Women.
In fashion, Suzan won the Fashion Icon of the Year award at the Afro-Australia Music and Movie awards at the age of 27 in 2014. In that same year, she also received the Best Fashion Contributor in the Diaspora in Uganda. In 2012, she was received a Fashion Designer award from Celebrate African Australians. At Fashion Aid Forward 2015, hosted by Henry Roth of Channel Ten, she showcased alongside numerous Melbourne designers and Project Runway winners.
Suzan's first book, Unapologetically Black was published in 2020, it won the best author award and received media attention from outlets such as Vogue, and Channel 10 broadcasts. A story by her appeared in the Smile 'Cross the Oceans anthology from WestWords. She is currently writing a memoir tells the tale of how she found her "unapologetic self" and explores racism, friendships, trauma, church culture and more.
