Sydney Alexis Hall
Sydney Alexis Hall is an American actress whose love of acting and performing began at an early age. She is the daughter of small business owners in architecture and interior design. She is the great grand daughter of the first African American trustee of District of Columbia public schools before desegregation, and the great grand daughter of a German wine maker in the early 1900s Mainz, Germany.
Sydney is skilled in Cyr wheel, hoop dance, modern dance, pole dance and other performing styles. She is a former competitive black belt, a certified yogini, a public speaking and speech writing enthusiast, and she plays some ukulele and guitar, singing occasionally. She previously studied in China, France, and Quebec, and was among the first to graduate Howard University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities: Ancient to Modern, with a Concentration in Art, Archaeology, and Language as well as a Minor in Art History. Her language background includes intermediate French and Mandarin.
She is an artist in acrylic paint, pastel, welding, sculpture, charcoal, graphite, mixed media, watercolor, and ink. Sydney is a cultural enthusiast with an interest in entrepreneurship, volunteerism and service to others. In 2015, prior to being crowned Miss District of Columbia Sweetheart, she ran with her family an after school girls empowerment program, teaching girls about mindfulness and self-actualization through the Arts and meditation. Sydney is a motorcycle enthusiast who blogs and screen writes in her spare time. She aspires to pursue comedy in film, and to use her passions as well as career ambitions to make a lasting global impact.
