Tamar Kummel
Born and raised in New York City. Went to high school in Hanover, New Hampshire when her parents moved there to be near Ely, VT where their summer business (cabin rental) was. Only child. Resides in New York City and Los Angeles. Writer/director/producer/actor. Parents: Herb Kummel, was a dancer with several major ballet companies. Marion Kummel, artist. Tamar has a background in stand up comedy, having produced several comedy shows in New York City. She's also written and performed sketch comedy, a one person show "Cultural Immersion", countless articles, and numerous plays and films. In 2011, she formed Captain Purple Productions LLC, a production company for films and more. She is also the author of the self-published books, "How To Run Auditions" (A guide for student filmmakers), "Fighting For Allergy-Free Food, The Cookbook" and, "Fighting For Allergy-Free Food, The Extended Interviews" which are companion books to her feature documentary of the same name. These books are available everywhere.
