Tammy Lynne Calef
Tammy Lynne Calef was born August 28, 1962 in Oceanside, California, to John Richard Calef and Margie Ann (Drennen) Calef. Her father served in the military branches of both the Marines and the Air Force, which had her family moving quite often. Tammy spent two and a half years of her childhood living in Izmir, Turkey with her family. Her family then relocated to West Virginia where she has spent most of her life. Tammy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairmont State University; and a Masters in Athletic Coaching Education and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University and its College of Law. She is a true Mountaineer. Tammy caught the acting bug after portraying the witch in her fourth grade production of Hansel and Gretel. In high school she landed the lead, Princess Winnifred, in her senior play "Once Upon a Mattress." After various roles and stage productions, including the roles of the White Witch in "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" (Act 2 Theatre Company) and Banquo in "Macbeth" (The Vintage Theatre Company's Shakespeare Troupe - The Rustic Mechanicals), she decided to set her sights on the TV and film industry. The Body Detective was her first TV role. In her spare time, Tammy loves to work with children. She has coached many different sports, but her favorite is volleyball. If not on a court, you may find Tammy racing her vintage Formula Vee or vintage Formula Ford cars.
