Tynesha DeSouza
Tynesha DeSouza, affectionately known as Actress Ty, is a dynamic and energetic dramatic actress. She is 5'9. She fully emerges herself into the character and brings out the true essence of greatness and purpose for the character she portrays. Her acting ability, persistence in learning new and challenging ideals, and honing her skills is top-notch. She is the actress that believes in going all in for her character portrayal.
Born in Atlanta, GA on January 11, 1982 to Velma Snipes (mom) and Roger Snipes (father), Tynesha started her initial interest in being an actress at 7 years old. She got her inspiration from movies and TV commercials she would watch as a child. She loved pretending as a child and would visualize herself as someone else at times. At Annie E. West Elementary School, she tried out for school plays and got selected for some main roles and supporting roles, such as a role in a Rosa Parks Black History stage play and she played in a Native American and Pilgrim play as well.
When she moved away from the performing arts school, her opportunities for acting sadly reduced and she no longer was able to express herself on the stage. This caused her to bury her passion over the years and then life happened fast and moved her in a different direction, but she still held onto her dream of one day being an actress.
Fast forward to 2020, during one of the worst pandemics felt all around the world on every single plot of land, she had a moment of sunshine through it all. She was introduced to TikTok by her youngest teen daughter. She enjoyed the app so much that she became immersed in all that the app allowed her to do and grew as her talents were tested through the various options of character analysis through voiceovers, acting reels, lip syncing, etc. She started gathering a following on her social media platforms and that gave her a sense of pride and it also let her know that "maybe this is the right time to revisit my acting dreams." Through the acting challenges and reels, she was able to tap and reconnect to that "actress inside" that was buried for so many years. She didn't want to be just a TikTok actress, so she invested into herself to improve her craft. She enrolled in acting classes in 2021 and joined many groups that also led her to obtaining her first major starring role in a feature film in 2022, Friends Like Sisters, as Brenda Dekart. The movie is written and produced by Kenny OD.
