Upon completion of the program, he was offered a Freelance Producer position at Turner Classic Movies. In 1993, Tyreese was introduced to the Radio world as "DJ T Smooth" on WCSU 88.9 FM in Ohio. His success while on the air received him and his on air personality team the prestigious 1994 Black College Radio Station of the Year Award. While employed at Turner Entertainment, he produced and served as voice-over talent for many of the broadcast spots. This is when he caught the acting bug, and decided to simultaneously pursue a career in acting. While in Atlanta; Tyreese was signed by one of the leading talent agencies to be represented for Film, TV, Commercial, Print and Voice-Over. Tyreese was cast in several industrials, voice-overs, and local commercials which include: Harcourt Horizons, Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, Bell South, Longhorn Steakhouse, Chick-Fil-A, TNT and TBS Superstation promos. The year 1999 became the turning point in Tyreese's life. He was cast as a Titan Football player in Walt Disney Pictures "Remember the Titans" starring Denzel Washington. Tyreese was also cast as a futuristic cop in the Steven Spielberg blockbuster "Minority Report" starring Tom Cruise. Building on his quest for success in the Entertainment Industry as a working Actor, Producer and Art Director, he developed the Multimedia Company TyBu Studios. In 2008 TyBu Studios collaborated with Kickscream Entertainment to produce the short film "Jesus' Secretary". On this production, Tyreese served as Executive Producer, Producer, Writer and Actor. The project was featured in several film festivals including The Hollywood Film Festival and London Film Festival. Tyreese has also served as Art Director and Production Manager for several projects which include: "Privacy Policy", "Monster Hour", "Love and Other Four Letter Words", "Roxanne Reese - Me & My Shadow" and "Roxanne Reese - Portraits of Love". Although his behind the scenes life keeps him busy, he still manages to find opportunities to be in front of the camera as well. With the steady trend of Film/TV projects being shot and produced in the Southeast, Tyreese saw fit to resurrect previous relationships in Atlanta to become a bi-coastal Actor. This strategy has afforded him a full circle opportunity within his career. Some of his Film/TV credits include: "Puppy Star Christmas", "Speed Dating", "2 Mins 2 Kill" and Web Series "#Viral".
