Whitney Morgan Cox was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started her performing career in dance at the age of two and continued dancing until a career ending injury forced her to stop at the age of 17. After moving to Hawaii for a few years she rediscovered performing in the shape of acting while attending college in Southern Utah where she met her husband Travis Lincoln Cox. They married in June of 2008. In 2011 while at college Whitney was awarded the National Irene Ryan Award for acting naming her the top collegiate actor in the nation. After spending a few years doing professional theater in Utah Whitney and her husband moved to Los Angeles and have been enjoying a career in film and television ever since. Whitney can be seen in mainstream TV shows like Criminal Minds and Animal Kingdom as well as several indie films and passion projects like the award winning Short Film "Inch Thick, Knee Deep" and the feature film 'In the Wake of Ire'. Whitney's Most recent project has her cast along side star actor Judy Greer in the Feature Film "Aporia" directed by Jared Moshe. Her performances have earned her several 'Best Actor' awards and nominations in film festivals all over the world. In 2020 Whitney was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo 8 months of chemotherapy, 30 rounds of radiation, and several surgeries. Today she is cancer free and regularly working in Los Angeles.
