Yana Titova
Yana Titova was born on February 26, 1983 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. At the age of 14, while studying piano and singing in the prestigious Musical School in Plovdiv, she was cast as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Since then, acting has become her life. In 2007, Yana received her degree in acting from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia.
Yana became popular and wanted actress after her theater debut as Irina in Chekhov's Three Sisters, for which she earned Best Young Actress Bulgarian Theater Award- Askeer. She was invited to join both the Youth Theater and the National Theater "Ivan Vazov", where she portrayed many different characters, proving how versatile and diverse she is. Her talents were quickly noticed and she was invited to play lead roles in several films. For her film breakthrough role in Footsteps in the Sand, Yana received the Bulgarian Film Academy Award. By 2011, Yana was officially established as one of the leading women in Bulgarian cinema with her Bulgarian Film Academy Award and Golden Rose Film Festival Award role in drama Hunting Down Small Predators. This year, Yana went to Moscow International Film Festival to present her newest film Krapetz, which was in the main competition. She balanced the summer with two films in which she stars, Sound Hunters, where she plays glamorous and famous singer from the 1960's and 2cm South from the Temple, where her character is on the verge of a mental breakdown.
