Yelda Reynaud
Born in Austria, Yelda Reynaud (aka Yelda Kaymakci Reynaud) graduated from French Drama schools L'École Florent and Vera Gregh. Her film acting career began in 1998 with German-Turkish-Swiss production "YARA" (The Wound) by Yilmaz Arslan, which world premiered at the International Venice Film Festival and for which she won best actress at the International Mar del Plata Film Festival, and numerous other festivals. Since she pursued an eclectic path, ranging from powerful dramas like "Anlat Istanbul" (Istanbul Tales - awarded best Actress at the International Istanbul Film Festival), to action filled Turkish version of famous "Behind bars" TV Series, "Parmakliklar Ardinda". Besides numerous other Turkish film directors she also worked with Fatih Akin on "Auf der anderen Seite des Lebens" (The Edge of Heaven). She was a jury member of the Istanbul Film Festival and of the Antalya Film Festival. Yelda Reynaud is a passionate polyglot and founder of Basibozuk Film. Inan Caddesi (Inan Avenue) is her feature debut as a director.
