A 6.7 earthquake caused her family to move to The Midwest where she attended school in Chanute Kansas, Altoona-Midway High School in Kansas, then graduated in Tulsa Oklahoma. She worked in Chanute Kansas doing factory work before moving to El Dorado Kansas where her son was born. From 1988 until 1997 she was married and lived in Ponca City Oklahoma and during that time got to work on the movie Twister. Divorced in 1997, she worked for a factory in Ponca City for 14 years. She married again in 2009 and divorced in 2015 then moved to Stillwater Oklahoma
