Many commercials, a pilot with Nicolas Cage, & lots of music videos later, he was singing at a club with his group The Tonics in NYC, where he met legendary theatre director Harold Prince who introduced them to Stephen Sondheim at a Christmas party. They said "yes" & their arrangement of "Good Thing Going" at Carnegie Hall, wound up on PBS' Great Performances, & was nominated for a Grammy. Then he met Liza Minnelli & Cortés went on 2 world tours with her, each lasting about 4 years, with the second one culminating in the Tony Award winning, Liza's At The Palace. There's more.
