Cristina Nicole Lizzul was born on March 8, 1995, in the town of Vista in San Diego County, California. She lived on the beach in the town of Oceanside, near U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, with her mom, an Italian citizen from Naples, and her dad, a USMC officer born in the Bronx, New York, until returning to Naples at the age of 4 per her dad's military orders. Cristina always has had a dual U.S./Italian citizenship and is fluent in both English and Italian. Cristina began her acting career at the age of 10, starring in theater productions at her high school in Naples, Italy, playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and at a local Neapolitan theater, Teatro Diana, playing "Sally" in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Cristina then booked a supporting role in the Psycho-Horror movie "La Prigione Oscura" playing "Christy," the mysterious, creepy girl next door - but the film was shelved and never released. At the age of 13, Cristina participated in the "Actors' Boot Camp" of the Young Performers Studio (YPS) in Los Angeles, California, and decided to remain in LA for 5 months. During her stay in LA, Cristina lived with her talent manager and attended 8th grade at a local LA grammar school that offered special classes in the performing arts. She continued her training in cinema-acting in after-school and weekend classes instructed by several Hollywood professionals, such as Stephen Snyder, Tom Logan, Richard Liedle, Deborah Dion, Rachel Glenn, Ingrid Shaw, Mark Arthur, Philip Brown, Marylou Belli, Holly Powell, Leo Rossi, and Donnajeanne Goheen. Upon returning to Naples, Cristina participated in the Teatro Diana's School of Theatre and commenced cinema-acting studies at the Scuola di Cinema di Napoli (the School of Cinema of Naples). In 2010 Cristina starred in the short film E' Solo Cenere (It's Only Ashes), which won an award at the Lavori In Corto ("Works in Short") Film Festival in Naples. Cristina also acted in a supporting role in the short film, La Bella In Italia (The Beauty in Italy). During her summer breaks from school in Italy, Cristina returned to Los Angeles on several occasions to continue her film-acting training at the YPS Actors' Boot Camp. In January 2013, Cristina completed her work as the female lead in the movie "Righteousness," which is in post-production and scheduled to be released in approximately May 2014. Cristina loves singing, dancing, and sports and has studied modern dance since the age of 5. Cristina became interested in acting several years ago when fascinated by shows such as Harry Potter and Heartland. She would routinely memorize lines and re-enact scenes. When she approached me (her mother) about how she could get involved in the industry, she took some acting courses and we found her a local agent. At ten years old we headed out to Vancouver for the Faces West Acting Convention. This inspired Cristina, and she placed very well in the Commercial/Cold Read categories (12 and under). The same year she landed a lead role in a school musical play in collaboration with an Opera company. After doing three background scenes for Hell on Wheels and several commercials, she wanted more of a challenge. With work for young people being scarce in Alberta, Cristina was thrilled to land the role of Young Wynonna on the series Wynonna Earp (2015-2016).
