Emma Julia Jacobs is an artist who was raised in, and resides in, Los Angeles, California. An obsession with film, animals and art came with her birth certificate. She was adopted at birth and has four siblings and two step-siblings. Emma struggled with grades and testing throughout her education but found joy and success as a creative artist. She sold one of her paintings for the first time at the age of 14 and sold many more by the time she graduated high school. She enjoyed school plays, though the experience was bittersweet as she had difficulty projecting for most of her life. Teachers gave her a hard time and students teased her for being so quiet and timid. It wasn't until her mid twenties that she decided to take charge of her own life and pursue her true passions. She quit makeup, enrolled herself in acting classes and immersed herself in painting again. Emma is most known for her skills as a painter and actor, her love of animals, her activism, and her blood-curdling screams. She's been in love with painting and film for as long as she can remember. Her roles include, "The Guest House", "Hitchcock", "Whispers", "From Hell She Rises" and "The Lincoln". She's also written and directed several short films, "Young Blood", "Insight" and "Dreams Never End" with James D'Darcy. Emma studies her craft with acting coaches Bernard Hiller and Kate Tinoco. When she met Bernard Hiller in 2011, his teachings completely changed her life and helped transform her into the confident, thriving actor she is today. Her artwork focuses on Sex-Positivity, sensuality, connection, trauma and mental illness. Her preferred mediums are oil, acrylic and water color. Her artwork has also made appearances in quite a few films. She's very much a supporter of rescue organizations such as the LA Rabbit Foundation. Ichabod, Luna, Murphy and Nomi are all bunnies she's adopted from the LA Rabbit Foundation. After many years of silence, Emma only recently revealed that she is a survivor of rape and sexual assault. Due to the re-traumatization, triggers and backlash of coming forward about actor Robert Knepper, Emma entered a trauma treatment center for PTSD, depression and complex trauma. She has since been able to begin healing from her trauma and mental illnesses and go from survivor to thriver. She claims that her life is forever changed thanks to the treatment center. It's important for her to make some good out of her own traumatic experiences by using her voice to raise awareness and amplify the voices of victims everywhere. In 2019, she began a new series of paintings, training with Bernie and Kate, and has a couple of film projects in the works. Emma looks forward to a passionate and adventurous career in film and the arts, alongside her rescue bunnies for years to come.
