Emma Lo Bianco is an English actress. She is known for her work on Time Is Up (2021), Devils (2020), Ritorno al presente (2021), The Broken Key (2017). She was born in London, 17 August 1984, to a British mother and an Italian father. She has lived in the UK, New York and Rome. Emma also speaks fluent Italian.
Emma was born in North West London, England in 1988. Her mother is Spanish and her father, although born in London, is of Chinese heritage. In 1997, Emma emigrated to Hong Kong, where she enjoyed catching lizards and insects. She secured her first job as manager of a pet shop at the age of 11, and eventually worked up to part-timing in a vet's surgery. She also worked for an animal rescue centre, training feral and abandoned animals. Emma began her acting career in school, partaking in various plays and festival, street-theatre. Her debut theatre production was in a stage production of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', where she portrayed a classical rendition of Juliet. She was also cast as Viola in Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and as 'Nancy' in 'Oliver!' Alongside her strong, classical performances, she enjoys indie film, landing the role 'Kim', in Tom Six's 'The Human Centipede II'. Emma has established herself in film, theatre, radio and animation both as an actress and as a journalist. Emma also works with her partner, Michael, who she met on the set of 'The Human Centipede'. Together, they run 'Mobile Menagerie UK' (animals for film and television) and visit educational centres to teach children and adults about their creatures.

Born in Salford in 1975 Emma Lowndes was bitten by the acting bug at the age of eight when her school class was invited to take part in Opera North's production of 'Carmen'. Having been head girl at school and an English graduate from York University she managed to get a place at RADA thanks to Richard Attenborough, who championed her audition, and also to another Salfordian, Albert Finney, who helped set up the Salford Sport and Arts Fund which paid for her three-year course. Since graduation she has appeared on stage at the Manchester Exchange Theatre, where her performance in 'The Seagull' saw her nominated for an Ian Charleson award, and as the lead in 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice'. For the Royal Shakespeare Company she was in 'Great Expectations, 'Therese Raquin' for the National and in the West End revival of 'Whose Life Is It Anyway?'. In 2009 she reprised her role as Bella Gregson' from the first series of television costume drama 'Cranford', where one of her many co-stars was Lisa Dillon, the actress who pipped Emma to winning the Ian Charleson award.
