Eric Guideng was born to Filipino parents O.J. and Zeny Guideng. He was raised in Las Vegas, NV and attended Las Vegas High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Straight out of high school, Eric Guideng joined the US Army and later the Nevada Army National Guard. He has been deployed to three continents as a uniformed US Soldier and has beyond a decade of uniformed military and civilian government service experience. While his army battle buddies would sneak Maxim and Playboy magazines into the field, Eric would sneak math and English book to study for his SAT. He used the military to prepare for and pay for college. Eric Guideng calls UNLV his college Alma Mater where he was chosen by his fellow art school classmates to represent and speak for his college, the UNLV College of Fine Arts, as one of two student Senators. Eric Guideng would eventually be popularly chosen as the 2005 UNLV Homecoming King to figuratively represent all the Rebels within UNLV's campus and its 25,000 strong student body. After college and serving his country, Eric Guideng would go on to become a full time artist splitting time between being a still photographer and actor for the motion picture, TV, and commercial advertisement industry. Eric started photography with point-and-shoot disposable film cameras in high school. He brought these same cameras during his military travel years and into college. Eric was developing photos so regularly at the local campus Walgreens, that Walgreens started giving him film rolls for free. Eric's sisters (Myra, Kat, Maria) and his parents chipped in and on Christmas day 2004, Eric got his first digital "pro" camera. With his new digital camera and years of art training, Eric would go on to be a proficient local photographer and Photoshop wizard. Eric slowly built a local following of aspiring models, dancers, and actors. One day, Eric was approached by a big, local Vegas night club (Tao), who had the monumental task of filling a football field-sized venue with young, hot females for a nation-wide TV commercial ad. Eric tapped his Rolodex and invited his share of friends and colleagues. Unsatisfied with the level of energy being put out by the models and dancers that he brought forth and vouched for, Eric took the initiative. He jumped into the crowd and showed his girls how to "celebrate" the same way he did all those years in the military. While in the military, Eric did not drink due to being laser focused on one day making it into college. So for countless nights Eric would go with his fellow army buddies, who had nothing better to do, and hit the many clubs of the many cities they'd visit. Being a non-drinker, Eric didn't spend too much time at the bar and instead spent most of his time on the dance floor learning the fine art of trying to get everyone to have a good time through a simple smile, gestures, and dance. It was this same skill he now used on that Tao dance floor to "celebrate." In the process of doing so he got the attention of the Director and his camera crew. Even though there was a set of meticulously selected actors who were already pre-cast to be the face of this commercial TV ad, Eric's celebration was undeniably noticeable. Eric, having been paid $200 cash that night, walked away thinking it was just a fun night and he got a months worth of gas money out of it. "It would be fun to get to do these kind of things for a living", Eric thought. Eric would get a totally random call a few weeks later and be asked if he would like to be a principal face of a national advertisement to be aired in television networks across America. This opened the door for Eric to meet and become dear friends with the men and women who work in the coveted industry of motion pictures, TV, and commercial advertisement.
