Grizz Salzl
Grizz is a man of many talents. Born Alan Salzl in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the youngest of six children, Grizz spent his formative years on a farm near Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. His career in film began with acting on feature films, television, in commercials, industrials, and in theatre. Coming from a small market it is common place to diversify and soon Grizz found himself working as a Grip, Electric, Stage Hand, Camera Assistant, Focus Puller, Camera Operator and most recently Steadicam Operator, all the while continuing to hone his craft as an actor. Grizz has performed extensively on stage in character roles and as an improviser and has played in a number of bands primarily as a bass player and singer. Grizz has also been blessed by working with some of the most talented Actors, Directors, and Cinematographers in the business. Grizz lives in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada with his wife Brooke Jewell, and has three children.

Born in Hubbard Texas November 2,1947, to parents, Grover and Odessa Coulson, Graduated from Dunbar High School, Ft. Worth Texas, 1966. The next year enrolled at Tarrant County Jr. college to study theater. After one semester he went into the Army for two years ,and upon discharge, returned to college to continue his studies in acting.. Learning of an audition at a community theater he met and audition for the very Talented writer, director, Johnny Simons, of the Internationally known ( Hip Pocket Theater ) and for the next 10 years worked, learned, and grew as an actor at H.P.T.,An interesting highlight. H.P.T. was the first theater company from Texas ever invited to perform at the Edinburgh theater Festival in Scotland.also the first theater company to preform at Queen Elizabeth Hall of London . An unexpected invited to audition for a play, " In The Middle Of Nowhere " at Dallas's Theater Three landing his first professional live theater acting job. During one performance of that show, the then artistic director of The Dallas Theater Center, Ken Bryant, saw his performance and invited Grover to audition for him at the Dallas Theater Center where he was cast in "Prologue to All The Kings Men ",and for the next several years he worked between these two Dallas Theaters and Ft. Worth's, Jubilee Theater ,Stage West Theater & Hip Pocket Theater. After one show at H.P.T. Grover was approached by an agent who took him on as a client and on his first TV audition for the hit TV show ", Dallas" was cast in his first television show opposite , Larry (J. R.) Hagman .. It was then he ,started to transition from stage to screen. In 2003 he auditioned for the movie " Friday Night Lights" directed by Peter Berg and landed the co-staring role,( L.V. Miles ). That role has to many acting opportunities, Life is good.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Grover began acting at 5 years old as the Talking Christmas Tree at Winterhalter Elementary School in Detroit. Through out elementary, middle and high school Grover has been involved in drama, public speaking and entertainment. Grover was a member of the Clark Players in Atlanta Georgia appearing in theater productions there as well as The Farmington Players in Michigan portraying Reverend Sykes in a production of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird in 2011. Appearing as an extra in films such as Hoffa, Zebrahead and Renaissance Man in the 90s, Grover was cast as the lead in The House That Broke in 2011 and the rest is history amassing 57 credits in multiple lead, supporting and featured roles in independent features and shorts. In 2016 Grover was cast on TV One's Fatal Attraction in seasons 5, 8 and 10. In 2017, Grover was cast in a recurring role on ID Discovery's Murder Chose Me as the lead character's Grandfather, Grandfather Demery. Grover has won Best Supporting Actor in 2019's I See You Awards and been nominated this year (2020) for best lead actor in a feature for the title role of Solomon as well as best lead actor in a web series for his role in The Circle. With a background in transportation, professional sports working for the Back to Back Bad Boy World Champion Detroit Pistons, Comcast as an on air personality/director producer of local programming and advertising/marketing expert with his own Hollingsworth McCants Media Group which serves entertainment, political, educational, legal, medical and business clients Grover is a well rounded experienced individual who is a current Doctoral candidate who also holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Master degrees in both Psychology and Business Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona where he is at this writing pursuing a doctorate in performance psychology. The combination of versatility in film, theater and television as well as a wealth of life experience make Grover an actor who brings it by the second.
