Isol Young is an actress, singer and songwriter born in Los Angeles, California. Isol began performing in musical theatre when she was eight where she shined in roles in the Disney pilot of "Mary Poppins, Jr.," "Bonnie & Clyde," and "Annie," directed by Eric Woodall. Isol quickly developed a love for film and television work and can be seen in the role of Laura Danker in the critically acclaimed Lionsgate film Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. (2023) directed by Kelly Fremon Craig, produced by James L. Brooks, and based on the iconic novel by Judy Blume. Isol is also known for her roles in Skin of the Father (2018), Alma (2019), as well as commercial work. When Isol isn't working, she is taking classes and intensives for acting, singing, dance, improv, screenwriting and musical theatre. She loves to read, write poetry, bake and go paddle boarding. Ísold Uggadóttir is an award-winning director and screenwriter from Iceland. Her feature film debut, "And Breathe Normally" premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival where she received the Directing Award in World Cinema Dramatic Competition. "And Breathe Normally" has gone on to win over a dozen international award. It received 9 nominations for the Icelandic Academy Awards in February 2019 and has been released on Netflix. Ísold's short films have premiered at such festivals as Sundance, Karlovy Vary, Telluride and New Directors/New Films, presented by Lincoln Center & MoMA, in addition to over 100 others. Her short films were honored with 6 nominations for the Icelandic Academy Awards, winning Best Short Film in both 2010 and 2011, as well as receiving numerous international festival awards. Ísold earned her M.F.A in directing and screenwriting from Columbia University's Film Program in New York, where she accepted the Adrienne Shelly Award for Best Female Director in 2011. Her studies were supported with scholarships from New York Women in Film and Television, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and The American-Scandinavian Foundation. Her work has also been funded by the Icelandic Film Centre, the Swedish Film Centre, the Film Center of Wallonia in Brussels, IFP/NYSCA and Frameline. Prior to Columbia, Ísold worked extensively with the Emmy Award-winning Partisan Pictures in New York City, where she edited documentary films around the clock, taking periodic powernaps on beta tape cases, in the deep of night. Ísold is an alumna of Nordic Talents, Berlinale Talent Campus, IFP/Emerging Narrative, Film Independent's Screenwriting Lab, Hamptons International Film Festival's Screenwriter's lab and Cine Qua Non in Mexico. Isolda Dychauk was born in Surgut, Western Siberia on February 4th, 1993. Her first high-profile film was the lead role in Faust (2011), directed by Russian auteur Aleksandr Sokurov, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Following the film's success, she was cast in her first English-language project, the international series Borgia (2011), produced by Tom Fontana. Since then she has gone on to work with directing stalwarts like Athina Rachel Tsangari, Denis Côté, Gust Van den Berghe, etc. Her latest film, The Book of Vision (2020), co-starring Charles Dance and executive produced by Terrence Malick premiered this year at the Venice Film Festival. Isolda now resides in Los Angeles where she is collaborating on a new half fiction project with her fiancé, Mike Ott.
