Julius has been making films since 2006. He has worked on several television projects under MojoCreative Group, "The Mun2 Look," where he served as second assistant camera, which aired on Mun2 television network, and "E Asylum," where he served as a host from 2007 to 2010, which airs on TUN (The University Network). Aside from directing, Julius' credits also include actor, entertainment writer, producer, assistant director, cameraman, and casting director. His short film "Forgiveness" as a writer/actor/director have been critically acclaimed and honored. Julius was awarded the Iago Award for Director and Writer (2010 JamFest Indie Film Festival) for the film "Forgiveness". The film was also awarded the Silver Award for Short Drama at the 2010 JamFest Indie Film Festival. "Forgiveness" was also an official selection of the 2010 New Filmmakers Spring Series in NYC. His music video interpretation "Cold Desert," as a writer/director was awarded third place winner at the 4th Annual North Hudson International Short Film Festival. The film, "Angel to Help Me Sleep," in which he co-directed with Giancarlo Orellana, was an official selection at the 2010 New Jersey Film Festival. In 2010 Julius co-founded the production company, Sunnyside Down Productions with Giancarlo Orellana and Christina Chu, to produce and promote independent film projects. At this time Julius remains as the sole member of Sunnyside Down Productions. The comedy "Jackin' Carlos" written by Christina Chu and directed by Julius B. Kelly was an official selection of the 2011 Hell's Kitchen Film Festival, NYC. "Jackin' Carlos" won the Silver Award at the Jam Fest Indie Film Festival in 2011. The short film "Un Amor Ilicito" written by Christina Chu and directed by Julius B. Kelly won top honors at the 5th Annual North Hudson International Short Film Festival. The Sunny Team was featured in "The Hudson Reporter" after their win at the 5th Annual North Hudson International Short Film Festival. Sunnyside Down Productions has been supplying the independent film festival circuit since 2010 and continues to deliver their brand of entertainment to the masses of film fans and viewers. Sunnyside Down Productions never takes a break. The team has many plans for other projects and to continue to provide their fans and peers with dreams to remember. He has received numerous accolades on the film festival circuit since 2010. Julius short film "Ploy" was also an official selection at the "Cannes Short Film Corner". His latest short "Black and Blue" is currently in post-production at this moment. Julius received his B.A. in Media Arts from New Jersey City University and currently lives in New Jersey with his family.
