Kevin Carney was born August 15th, 1951 at Fort Gordon Army Base, Georgia. His father, William Carney, was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army and his mother, Jean Carney was a civilian employee for the US Army at Fort Gordon. He is the youngest of four children. During his youth, his family lived in many places due to his father's Army career and career as an aerospace engineer. Growing up, he lived in Georgia, South Carolina, Northern California, Alaska, Southern California, Ghana (West Africa) and Arizona. He attended High School in Chatsworth California, where he first studied drama. Later he graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in Political Science, specializing in Foreign Government. While at the University and studying Italian, He joined the Italian Theater Group of Los Angeles and performed in Italian language plays at the Casa Italiana in Los Angeles. He was married to his wife, Kathleen, in 1975 and they had three children, Travis Carney, Carleen Carney and Clint Carney. The following year, he entered the Sheriff's academy and served with the Department until he retired as a sergeant. Throughout the years, he played many roles in stage plays and musicals and sang in numerous classical choral groups. He now lives in Ventura County, right next door to L.A. County, and is a grandfather. His dear wife, Kathleen passed away in March, 2019 after 44 years and 3 days of marriage.
Kevin has a BA in Theatre and Film from Montclair State University in 1990. He originated the role of Teddy Roosevelt in Broadway's Newsies. He toured Chicago The Musical in the U.S., Japan, and Dubai, U.A.E. Caricatured by renowned theatre artist Al Hirschfeld. Celebrated his dual citizenship with Ireland in 2009. He created the role of Baloo in the world premiere stage production of Disney's The Jungle Book. He is married to Maryann Carolan.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he began acting in a Rhodes College production of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" while recovering from a varsity football injury. Kevin Chacon started his artistic career with the acting school Rybin Studio of Drama in 2016, and is currently represented by its counterpart, Rybin Talent Management.
